Houston Fort Bend Airport (FAA 2H5)is located just south-east of the I-59 highway crossing at Beasly, TX. The airport was formerly called Happy Landings Airport.
This appears to be a plain dirt/grass runway, with no obvious public access, services, paved road, fuel, or buildings. In other words, a private grass airstrip for small plane use only.
Although the FAA docs state: “Open to Public”, the last time I drove by there, last year, it was on a dirt road behind a locked gate. That may have changed, but clearly one should confirm access before trying to use this airfield. If anyone has information that this status has changed, please let us know.
