Severe thunderstorms kept many Fort Bend residents awake Friday night with several hours of spectacular lightning. For some, thoughts went immediately to the recent scary night when Hurricane Beryl moved through the county.
Weather fronts moving into Harris & Fort Bend counties are expected to bring more rain and thunderstorms. The National Weather Service is predicting a high chance of rain for at least the next 7 days. While not as severe as a the recent hurricane, adverse weather will affect construction and repair throughout the area.
Thousands of homes and businesses were damaged by Hurricane Beryl, and roof repairs in particular are difficult to undertake when rain storms are moving through on a daily basis.
